GRAFFITI BLACKBOOK SKETCH - 'MODERN PIRATES'

I've always been fairly impressed by the commercials of Coca-Cola advertisements. Not about the ridiculous amount of money that's put into these 30 second video's, but the packaging design of the cans back in the day.. You guys sure rememberthese printed water droplets, I practiced on those things a lot but when I tried, they looked like pimples. Not really the effect that I was looking for..

Scrapwood, and just the skyline with the sun going down, are some examples that I wanted to draw/paint but I couldn't really get them down how I wanted them.. Those difficult nature elements.. But they have so much soul, and give a realistic touch to your pieces, worth to try don't you think? With this one I decided to blend in some pencil work, to get smoother flows in the gradients and shadows. And it really worked out! Enjoy this 'Modern Pirate' piece!

SECK ONE - GRAFFITI ALPHABET 2015

First off.. we are already online and blogging for over 3 years (!). I've put so much time and effort into this page, that it really is a big thing for me. You can spot the difference in one blink, when you look at my artwork from 2012, and what I produce now. I made a lot of progress, and you guys followed that. Yesterday we hit the 25.000 pageviews, and it is going so well.. I really want to thank you guys for all of this. 2015 is going to be even better!

For this post, I made an graffiti alphabet in my own style. I have never made something like this before because it never fitted, and every time I tried to make an alphabet that was more complex than tagging, I ran out of space for the last line of letters.. This time I glued another paper underneath it, because I wanted this to finish.

I wanted to finish this alphabet, because I discovered this neat page on Instagram called The Style Trials. Every week, they post a new challenge. May it be a one word throw-up, only 1 letter in your style, whatever. Everybody can participate in the competition by using the hashtag #thestyletrials. This weeks challenge is an alphabet in your own style, go check it out!

Enjoy my entry for this graffiti competition.

HOF DAY @ DEN BOSCH - FT. BUNO & EVORE RDS!

We've saw the legal spot at Den Bosch once before.. Today we were aiming for the rebound, the first piece of 2015! And what a day! Buno and I hooked up with the guys from RDS crew, and what had to be a rainy and windy day we only got a lil rain at the end.. Right when we were all finished. Perfect! After visiting the store for some extra cans we realised we really had an awesome arsenal of paint together, Axer brought 10 litres (!) of orange, Aures took some really nice ocean blue with him and I had matte black paint with me. No disrespectful crossing going on this time!

All guys were just chill, we shared all of our paint to get the most wicked pieces. Style even passed by to drop something quick, dopest oldschool writer I've met! Never did a collaboration with two writers before, what a blast we had! This one's for the books, thanks guys!

Special thanks to Evor for the flicks!
